CARF - Preparing for Successful Accreditation in Medical Rehabilitation


Course description 
Presented by CARF staff and intended for a variety of audiences. This two-day workshop provides participants with deeper insight to CARF accreditation process, it offers the opportunity to discuss and receive "hands-on" support from training faculty regarding the development and implementation of plans, policies, procedures and learn some best practices for standards implementation.
Course objectives
 
  1.  Demonstrate an understanding of the CARF accreditation process, including the duration of the preparation period, gap analysis, the survey process, survey feedback, survey outcomes and intra-survey responsibilities.
  2.  Discuss the practical application of CARF standards in each participant’s rehabilitation program.
  3.  Use provided gap analysis to determine current levels of conformance in standards that require written documentation.
 
 
Target audience
Rehabilitation Specialist, (Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Prosthetics and orthotics, Rehab leaders, Home care institute leader and therapist. social services providers).
