Course description:
This is a peer reviewed short course for physicians from different disciplines such as Internal medicine, ICU, ER & anesthesia beside nurses & respiratory therapists. This course gives understanding of the fundamentals of ‘conventional mechanical ventilation’ (with normal /abnormal lungs) through interactive lectures, discussions & workstations. This course kindles interest in critical care to enrich oneself further in this specialty.

Principles of Respiratory Failure.
Different modes and types of Mechanical Ventilation.
Interpreting blood gasses of ventilated patient 
Complications of Mechanical Ventilation
Weaning from mechanical ventilation 
Skill stations with hands-on to cover practical aspects of mechanical ventilation.
