Course Description
The "Fundamentals of Respiratory Care" course
offers a comprehensive introduction to the
principles, theories, and practical applications in
the field of respiratory therapy. It covers essential
knowledge regarding the respiratory system,
common respiratory disorders, diagnostic
procedures, therapeutic interventions, and patient
care strategies.
 
corce objectives :
Upon successful completion of this course, students
will be able to:
• Respiratory System Understanding: Students will
demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of
the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory
system, including its functions, structures, and
mechanisms involved in respiration.
• Respiratory Pathophysiology: Students will be
able to identify, explain, and differentiate various
respiratory diseases and disorders, understanding
their etiology, symptoms, and their impact on
patient health.

• Diagnostic Proficiency: Students will acquire the
ability to apply and interpret a range of
diagnostic procedures used in respiratory care,
such as pulmonary function tests, arterial blood
gas analysis, and chest imaging.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Students will
demonstrate knowledge of various therapeutic
interventions and treatments in respiratory care,
including oxygen therapy, airway management,
and mechanical ventilation.
